VALENTĪNA PUŽULE was born in Rugāji county, Latvia. In 1986 graduated the State University of Latvia as a biologist, teacher in biology and chemistry. From 1986 to 1997, she worked at Kuprava Secondary School and, together with her students, explored the Kuprava clay deposit and activities of of the Kuprava clay factory. In 2013 in Rezekne Higher Education Institution, she has obtained a Master's Degree in Environmental Protection and an Environmental Engineer qualification.
