The researcher of several international projects, now researcher of Fryske Academy’s project „LangOER: enhance teaching and learning of less used languages through OER/OEP”. Active participant of international scientific conferences in Latvia, Poland, Germany, Finland and Croatia, and the author of numerous scientific publications, including book chapters. Area of scientific research: a comprehensive study of cityscapes (linguistic, semiotic, cultural landscapes) in Baltic States, an analysis and interpretation of the role and meaning of language in shaping, sensing, and presenting individual and collective identities in varios types of texts, interactive possibilities to learn languages and issues about language.
