1967 graduated from the Lunacharsky State Institute for Theatre Arts.’ In 1998 gained a masters degree in pedagogy. Decades of publishing in Latvian press on theatre productions, season reviews, problem studies, actors’ portrets etc. The author of several books, such as: “The Ironic Romantic” (on actor Valentins Skulme, 1997), “The Mysterious Player Lena” (on actress Helena Romanova, 1999), “Poisoned with Theatre” (on the family of actors Vazdiki, 2004), “Kletnieki – with Make-up, without Make-up” (on the family of actors, Kletnieki, 2006), “The Youth theatre” (2011). At the moment studying the history of Daugavpils theatre from its beginnings to nowadays.
