Professional trombone player, plays in the Latvain National Opera Orchestra and professional symphonic wind band „Rīga,” leads professional brass player quintet „5 – atā!”. RTTEMA teacher / lector, teaches the play and playing methods of trombone, euphonium, and tuba. At present is working on the Ph.d. research Thesis “Correlations between Students` Instrument Playing Skills and Body Action Improvement in the Learning Process of Trombone Play in a Music School”. Author of several scientific articles and editor of the brochure „Improvisation – a challenge for music education” (2013).

Chief conductor of Baltic Student Song Festival Gaudeamus (1999, 2004, 2006, 2011, 2014) and XXV Latvian Song Festival (2013). Participates actively with the presentations in international scientific conferences in Latvia and abroad, author of many scientific publications. Project manager of scientific and creative projects.
